message & a prayer

To all the ships at sea... ...and all the ports of call. To my family... ...and to all friends and strangers. This is a message and a prayer. The message is that my travels taught me a great truth. l already had what everyone is searching for... ...and few ever find: The one person in the world... ... who l was born to love forever. A person like me, of the Outer Banks... ...and the blue Atlantic mystery. A person rich in simple treasures... ...self-made, self-taught. A harbor where l am forever home. And no wind or trouble... ...or even a little death can knock down this house. The prayer is that everyone in the world can know this kind of love... ...and be healed by it. lf my prayer is heard, then there will be an erasing of all guilt... ...and all regret... ...and an end to all anger. Please, God. Amen.

------Message in a bottle.

Dear future nieces and nephews...

This is your somewhat distressed-cute-sweet-aunt writing you this letter to warn you of something about your dear mom!
As you must have figured out by now, your mom is very caring, supportive, understanding and loving. But, I must warn you that when you go shopping with her, Please be aware that it's going to be a strange and one of a kind experience. I hope the following points will help you be prepared, to face the situation(s) when you go shopping with your mom.

During shopping:

-->Drink or take an energy drink/s with you.
-->Do not be surprised, if you spend a hour or two or more or 90% of your shopping time in the trailer/ fitting room.
-->Do not argue or do not dare to say NO, when she gets you clothes to try on.
-->Don't be baffled if she gets you the same dress of three sizes(for every company/model) to try on, before you & she decide the right one.
-->Don't be surprised if she get's various colors/shades of the same dress design to try on.
-->Be mentally prepared to walk around a few steps/sit, after trying your probable  new dress. According to her, a dress has to be fit, no matter what the body posture is (and she has a point there).
-->Don't dare to fall in love with a dress with a low neck. It's just a Big Fashion paux according to her.
-->If a dress is on sale, there is a 90% probability that you will have to try one and 99% probability that she will buy for you.
-->Be prepared to try on a dress she chose and something that you would have never dared to imagine to try on, because it looks so weird.(Because, some day it will end up being your most favorite.)
-->Don't dare to come out of the fitting room, if you don't have a cellphone. Cause you will find yourself lost or your mom lost in the store.

After shopping:
-->You will not remember what dresses you have bought.
-->You will realize, that the purpose of this trip to the shop was not meant to be for you but ends up to be for you.
-->There are a couple of dresses(almost an year old) in your wardrobe that still have price tags.

And some day, you will realize that shopping with out her is extremely tough and you will only be lost without her.

Happy shopping,
-<3 your favorite aunt.
