Day 8: Grateful

Thankful for the amazing people in my life!
Hi,

There were and are so many nice people in my life that it makes me wonder if this is how it feels to be blessed.

Rajesh Sir during my childhood who taught me lessons that still help me learn and evolve. Anil who stood (and still stands) by me during all my tough times, My sister who cares for me more than I do for myself. Bryan who taught me not only have the confidence to drive but also not give up on something I failed at once. Bincy, Reema and Jay for their little words of encouragement that keep me going right now and not give up my career aspirations in despair. And there are so many others that played and still play a vital role in helping me reach my full potential.

There has always been someone in my life who unconditional helped and supported me to face a difficult phase of my life. Some of these people I haven't even met in person nor know how they look like. Probably if I ever meet them in real life, I would not even recognize them yet they have touched my life in a way that I often think of them and thank them for the role they played in making  me a better person.

I aspire to be like these nice people in my life as they inspire me to be a person better than I am right now.

Love,
Archana

I do 'not' care.

The decisions I make in my life, are mine and my own.

I have one life:
to live,
to make mistakes and learn,
to love,
to hate,
to forgive,
and to evolve.

I am pretty much busy, planning and doing my best to live my life to the fullest.

If somebody else has the time to think about me, and be judgmental about the decisions I make in my life, they are more than welcome to do so.But, their opinions about:

how I should live my life, what career path I should choose...etc, do not influence me in any way, as I need to listen to my gut and keep up with my conscience 24/7.

Some times, these opinions do overwhelm, and upset me. But, I am trying my best to ignore the petty issues of life, and instead focus on the nicer and greater things in life and the world. Maybe someday soon, I will be able to have that attribute, which allows me to not be upset about things that do no matter.

For now, I am still trying to 'NOT' care for insignificant issues in life.

Whats up?!

Heyllo World! What’s up!

Here's a brief update on what's happening in the life of your awesome blogger (yay that's me)!

Still Jobless yet not Hopeless: Yup. I’m still applying for jobs. I’m still generously sending my resume to jobs that are being posted here and there. Apart from humbly taking the suggestions or guidance from anybody and everybody who is kindly willing to offer. But nothing I do seems to be sufficient, as I am no way close to where I should have been by now. I am trying hard to keep my spirits up. I shall be positive and keep trying and trying and trying till I succeed.

New home and new Beginnings: Sissy and I did shift to our new house that we (well she) rented. I super like this house and plan to make 'home-sweet-home' memories in this house. But since home is where momma is, I hope, wish and pray mom, kali and dad will be here soon. Nevertheless, Sru and I are quite happy and excited to be in a house which also has a room (read garage) for Radha (read car). The most exciting thing about this house is that Sru or I need to be shoveling the snow in winter or mowing the grass later. Since we never had to do such chores before, we are finding these tasks to be fun so far.

Volunteering at a hospital: And hey, you know which hospital that would be right?! Well, I figured it that since I am basically jobless, I must be doing some good karma too, to pay off the debt of past. Though some debts can never be completely paid off...I hope to give back a tiny teeny bit of good karma to a place that basically gave me a second chance at life. I volunteered a couple of hours so far and I absolutely love it. I get to work with super sweet people, meet a wide variety & number of people every day and the nicest part of all this is to learn something new from each one of them every single day.

Just Homesick or ?? : Other than being homesick and missing mom, dad & kali too very much, I have 'saudade' of the life I once used to know. I mean, exactly 2 years ago, what all I planned for the rest of my life to be like is no way similar to what I am living right now. Which is kind of scary...I mean...having planned every little detail meticulously since as long as I have known and then realizing nothing worked out the way it should have had...Kind of makes me question my own reliability, right??? But the fact is my life is not just controlled by me. There are a million other external variables to be considered too. Maybe growing old and wise teaches one to manipulate these external variables for one's benefit and not loss. Since I am obviously not as stupid or young as I was 2 years ago... I hope things will turn out better soon!!

P.S. One more blog (a formal one this time) in the making! :~) Good Luck to me!

Face book

When I update something on FB..I assume each and everyone on my list reads/sees it..irrespective of their acknowledgment. #NOoooo. I am lying. It just feels weird ....and totally weird...when someone acknowledges about it in person to me, rather than at the time they have read/seen it. (<----I must confess, I do the same).
Facbeook is just stupid. I have always known this...but the only reason I have let myself get addicted to it over the past one year is for the simple reason of

--------> Getting over him. And what better way than to do something he forbid me to do...right?!

But I guess I was wrong..Facebook is just stupid. He was right. o__O

It just makes people feel lonelier and depressed if anything else.

Face book was never my favorite medium of commuincation though it surely has been the most easiest way of communication.
Hey wait!!! What is the definition of Communication??

Communication is the exchange and flow of information and ideas from one person to another; it involves a sender transmitting an idea, information, or feeling to a receiver (U.S. Army, 1983)

And what exactly am I doing in Face book??

--> Sharing my thoughts? if so, with whom?? I can never figure out the privacy settings of facebook and really have no freaking idea of who and who more can see something I post. But one thing that I am sure of is this, that it is visible to more people than I would want to be....just like the  many-many random updates of strangers (or friends of friends) I get, in my news feed.

-->Sending or receiving the right thoughts/feelings?? Misunderstandings between two individuals happen even when they are talking with one another directly, looking in the eyes...how can FB communication not be prone to high risk of misunderstandings?

-->Friends?? 10% of the people in my friends list are the people who I would really care to call my friends, whom I could call at any hour of the day/night. Why does the other 90% exist in the list...I have no clue and I am sure they don't either and even they would be asking the same question as to why I exist in their list at some point of time or the other.

-->Get stalked?? By a random stranger whom I add out of courtesy and who feels offended that I decided to deactivate my account and hence sends my sister a message saying..."She doesn't have to give a justification and blah blah blah"...as if I cheated on him??? What The HECK.....I am just a narcissist..talking about myself all the time on my FB and not for entertaining friends/family/strangers..but just for reasons of utter selfishness.

It's really funny that I am complaining about all this when I can just deactivate it and be happy & peaceful & most importantly do things I NEED TO AND LOVE TO.

Getting rid of FB addiction ain't easy...becuase I have tried it numerous times already and FAILED....but guess now is the right time for me to do something more productive...or atleast something that doesn't make me feel like being stalked by my very own people.

I am not going to get over FB in a day or a two...it's going to take time but some day soon, it shall not be a part of my everyday routine, anymore. I say, "I GOT THIS", As Robin in HIMYM would say and end this post here. But, if you are a FB addict like me or you once were..share your experiences..make me feel not so stupid and foolish to be going through this.

Thank you!!

1.Flying to USA for the first time makes you feel incredibly happy and powerful until you are about to land in USA, where they give you a from where in you are referred to as an ALIEN.  It just doesn't seem welcoming anymore.

2. When someone smiles at you, you got to smile back.

3. You got to learn to shut your mouth no matter how hard it is after flying for 24+ hours. No matter what you assume, you are not immune to JET LAG.

4. It is fun to sit back and watch two people have a cold war for your sake.

5. Someday soon, you will realize that the university you thought to be a home away from home is not interested in you but the fee you pay.
Neverthless, you will still be making a bonding with it & easily fall in <3 with.

6. You wake up and go to bed every day cursing the one who told you that life in USA is easy, for the next couple of months.
